Self-portraits
We have a new topic about self-portraits or "selfies" I'm not into them to be honest as I only think the majority of them are mindlessly taking a photo of themselves... Constantly I don't mind no thinking photos sometimes they give a new angle but the selfie takers only do the same thing with different environment cloths and expression but there are the special diamonds within the coal mine that do great. (its a metaphor)

scanology
I decided to use a scanner for taking very distorted self-portrait other then the first one I decided to use it mostly because I don't enjoy pictures of my face being taken, so since the picture process is a moving platform moving across the glass scanning it so when I move it showed warped effects so I pressed my cheek and moved it made a light in the middle so it showed more contrast so pressing it helped. It helped that the surprising factor when unexpected results happen.

layers selfie
I made this because of an action box note which was given to everyone I got "layered" so I went to the Dark room which then I got two pieces of paper and lined them up to see how a face and how well some that worked out. However when trying to place it on the scanner it wouldn't fit so I needed to scan them both and got some help to place the photos together in photoshop so it completed again in its original shape overall it was a fun and interesting experience.

self-portrait comparison
In Friedlander's photograph I can see a shadowed man holding a bright reflection of himself. I can also see a shadowed man in the background of the photograph. I think this is a mirror self because I can see an overlay on the edge of the photograph. In Woodman's photograph I see can there is a door slightly angled to face a person who has a cover similar coloured to the wall. I believe this is a disguised selfie due to the people who are taking who are nearly fully covered. This might be sightly more focused towards the inside of the door due to in acting as a frame. In Josephson's photograph there is a person holding a frame towards the arm of the person in the car. The person has also taken a shadow selfie. The person who is being photographed through the frame has most of his features removed besides from his arm. There is also another person in the background as we can see through underneath the frame and by the side of the frame there is a shadow but the person who is taking the photograph is also blocked out by the shadow. Which shows the person only wanted the arm and no other details to be added in the photograph.
